Orwell Astronomical Society's 50th Anniversary Convention

Convention poster

Our neighbours and friends, The Orwell Astronomical Society, will celebrate their 50th birthday on 29 July with an all-day astro-fest on Ipswich Waterfront.

There will be five prominent speakers from the world of astronomy, society stands and traders, including the Widescreen Centre, the UK's largest showroom for astronomical equipment. Entry will be free, with a charge for the lectures. Tickets for these are now available from www.oasi.org.uk.

Whether you're a seasoned stargazer or an enthusiastic novice, come and enjoy a whole day of astronomical festivities and fun!

Free parking will be available at the University of Suffolk immediately adjacent to the venue.
